Buy/Sell Spreads

Plus500 is mainly compensated for its services through the Buy/Sell (Bid/Ask) spread (tap to learn more here), so when you open a position, you essentially “pay” the spread. This spread is incorporated into the Plus500 quoted rates and is not an additional charge or fee payable by you above the quoted rates.

To view the spread for a specific instrument, simply:

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Search for a specific instrument.
  3. Select the Details icon (i) and scroll down to the Trading Info section.

Additional Fees

The fees below could be applied to your account, depending on your trading activity:

Overnight Funding

An overnight funding amount is either added to or subtracted from your account when holding a position after a certain time (referred to as the “Overnight Funding Time”). You can read more about this here.

Currency Conversion Fee

Plus500 will charge a Currency Conversion Fee for all trades on instruments denominated in a currency different to the currency of your account. The Currency Conversion Fee will be reflected in real time into the unrealised profit and loss of an open position. You can read more about this here.

Guaranteed Stop Order

A unique order type used to help you manage risks by guaranteeing the stop loss level. If you choose to use this feature, please note that as it guarantees that your position closes at a specific requested rate, it is therefore subject to a wider spread. You can read more about this here.

Inactivity Fee

A fee of up to USD 10 per month will be levied, should you not log in to your trading account for a period of at least three months. This fee will be charged once a month from that moment onwards, as long as no login is made to the account.

Deposits and Withdrawals

We Don’t Charge Deposit and Withdrawal Fees!

As part of our commitment to offer the best trading conditions available, we cover most payment processing fees. On rare occasions, you may incur fees when transferring money to and from your Plus500 account1. These are determined and levied by your payment issuer or bank, and not by Plus500.

1 E.g. for international card transactions, incoming/outgoing bank transfers and transactions using a currency that is not supported (Forex conversion).

FAQ

There are no hidden fees at Plus500. Plus500 is mainly compensated for its services through the spread. For more information, please read: “Do you charge any trading fees?”

On rare occasions, you may incur fees when transferring money to and from your Plus500 account. These are determined and levied by your payment issuer or bank, and not by Plus500.

Fees may be added to your account by third parties for:

  • International cards - When transactions are processed through foreign (non-local) acquirers.
  • Incoming/Outgoing bank transfers - When transferring money from your bank account to Plus500, and vice versa.
  • Forex conversions - When depositing with a currency that is not supported by the selected payment method.

Plus500 is mainly compensated for its services through the "market spread". For example, when trading EUR/USD, if the buy rate is 1.12078 then the sell rate would be 1.12072 respectively (which means a market spread of 0.6 pips, in this example). Unlike other service providers who also charge commissions on each trade, Plus500 does not charge dealing commissions.

However, the following additional fees may be applied:

Overnight Funding - The overnight funding amount is either added to or subtracted from your account when holding a position after a certain time (the “Overnight Funding Time”).
The overnight funding time and the daily overnight funding percentage can be found in the “Details” link next to the instrument’s name on the main screen of the platform.

Currency Conversion Fee - Plus500 will charge a Currency Conversion Fee for all trades on instruments denominated in a currency different to the currency of your account.
The Currency Conversion Fee will currently be up to 0.7% of the trade’s realised net profit and loss and reflected in real time into the unrealised net profit and loss of an open position.

Inactivity Fee - A fee of up to USD 10 per month will be levied, should you not log in to your trading account for a period of at least three months. This fee will be charged once a month from that moment onwards, as long as no login is made to the account. The inactivity fee will be equal to the lesser of the remaining available balance in your account or USD 10 (or equivalent depending on your currency). This is to offset the cost incurred in making the service available, even though it has not been used. However, please note that the fee is only collected from the Real Money account and only when there are sufficient available funds in the account. In order to avoid this fee, simply log into your trading account from time to time, as this is deemed sufficient activity to prevent a fee from being charged.

Guaranteed Stop Order - if you choose this feature, please note that as it guarantees that your position (trade) closes at a specific requested rate (price), the trade is subject to a wider spread. For more information, please refer to FAQ topic “Trading” → “What is a Guaranteed Stop Order?

* For further information on fees please refer to the User Agreement.

The overnight funding amount is either added to or subtracted from your account whenever a position is left open after a certain cut-off time (the “Overnight Funding Time”).

The formula used to calculate the daily overnight funding amount of a position is:

Trade Size * Position Opening Rate * Point Value * Daily Overnight Funding %

When trading Share CFDs, the formula will be:
Trade size * Daily Close Rate * Point Value * Daily Overnight Funding %, where the Daily Close Rate is the average [(Buy+Sell)/2] of the last quote 30 minutes before the Overnight Funding time (e.g. if the Overnight Funding time is 22h, we will take the last quote before or at 21:30h).

The overnight funding time and the daily overnight funding percentage can be found in the “Details” link next to the instrument’s name in the main screen of the trading platform. For more information about fees, please read “Do you charge any trading fees?”
